Dynamics 365 Migration Services for Manufacturers.

Moving off on-premises Dynamics, Salesforce or another CRM? We move manufacturers into Dynamics 365 in Microsoft’s cloud.

Most of what decides whether a migration lands happens before a single record moves, so that’s where we start.

“RADIN stepped in and salvaged a very significant go-live date in two or three months, when we were at a failure point. That was massive for us as an organization. You said, listen, we can do this, and you’ve been able to do that.”

• THE GUIDE, BY RADIN DYNAMICS

A Dynamics 365 migration moves your customer, sales and service records, and the rules that run them, from an on-premises Dynamics install, Salesforce or another CRM into Dynamics 365 in Microsoft’s cloud. RADIN does these moves for manufacturers, and most of the work that decides whether one lands happens before a single record moves: cleaning the data and deciding what to leave behind.

Our view: don’t migrate the mess. If a third of the accounts in your old system are duplicates, they’ll be duplicates in Dynamics 365 too, and now you’re paying a subscription for them. Clean first, then move.

The moves we see most

Where you are nowWhat movesWhere it usually catches
Dynamics CRM or Dynamics 365 on your own serversAccounts, contacts, opportunities, cases, custom fields, workflowsOld custom code and plug-ins that the cloud version handles differently
SalesforceAccounts, contacts, opportunities, quotes, activity historyFields that mean one thing in Salesforce and something else in Dynamics 365, and reports nobody wants to rebuild
Another CRM, or spreadsheetsCustomer lists, open deals, service historyDuplicates, and records with no owner

The modules are usually Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service and Customer Insights. For a manufacturer, the part that matters most comes after the move: getting order status and real lead times from the ERP into the same screen your sales team works in. See ERP integration for manufacturers.

What a migration involves, in order

  1. Take stock. Every record type, custom field, workflow, report and integration in the old system, and who still uses each one.
  2. Clean. Merge duplicates and decide how many years of history come across. Old activity can be archived instead of moved.
  3. Map. Agree what each field means and which system owns it. This is where most projects slip, because it needs decisions from sales and operations as well as IT.
  4. Test with real records. Run the migration into a test environment, have the people who use the system check their own accounts, fix what’s wrong, and run it again.
  5. Plan the cutover. Pick a weekend or a slow week, freeze changes in the old system, move the final data, and check counts before anyone logs in Monday.
  6. Support after go-live. Someone owns the system and its integrations for the weeks after cutover, in writing.

Your plant doesn’t stop for any of this. A CRM migration touches sales and service, and a well-planned cutover happens while the floor keeps running.

What to ask before you sign a migration quote

  • Who cleans the data, you or them, and is that time in the quote?
  • How many test migrations are planned before cutover?
  • What happens to custom code, workflows and plug-ins that won’t work in the cloud?
  • How much history moves, and where does the rest go?
  • Who supports the system and its integrations after go-live, and for how long?
  • What does the quote leave out?

A quote that can’t answer those isn’t ready to sign.

Why manufacturers call us for this

RADIN has 16 years of Dynamics delivery behind it and is a Microsoft Partner, with more than 20 certified ERP and CRM professionals and 48 full-cycle projects completed. We work with manufacturers, so production orders, job status and lead times are where we start.

When a California audio equipment manufacturer’s Salesforce to Dynamics 365 migration stalled after a year with another partner, RADIN took it over and had its sales, marketing and support teams live three months later. Read the case study.

The Microsoft work
behind the plan

As a Microsoft Partner we build on Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform when the plan says so. We still hold no software quota.

What we build for manufacturers

Three products. Each one closes a blind spot the last one left open.

RADIN AI Solutions

Move beyond dashboards and reports. RADIN AI helps manufacturers predict disruptions, identify inefficiencies, and take action faster by transforming operational data into practical, business-ready intelligence.

Business Central for Manufacturers

Disconnected operations create costly blind spots. Business Central brings finance, inventory, production, purchasing, and supply chain together in a single system so leaders can make faster decisions with greater confidence.

Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement for Manufacturers

Stop chasing information across emails, spreadsheets, and disconnected tools. Dynamics 365 CE helps manufacturers manage customers, service, sales, and relationships in one connected platform, giving teams the visibility needed to win and retain business.

Questions

Dynamics 365 Migration: Common Questions

How long does a Dynamics 365 migration take?

It depends on how many records you have, how much custom code sits in the old system and how clean the data is. We’ll give you a timeline once we’ve looked at your system.

Yes. You decide how many years move into Dynamics 365. Older activity can be archived somewhere searchable so the new system starts clean.

No. Some shops move sales first and service later. The test migrations show whether a phased move is safe for your data.

It shouldn’t. A CRM migration touches sales and service records, and the final cutover is planned for a weekend or a slow period.

Yes. Salesforce to Dynamics 365 is one of the moves we do most. The hard part is mapping fields that mean different things in each system, and we do that with your sales team before any data moves.

For migrations, yes. We move manufacturers into Dynamics 365, and we’re a Microsoft Partner.
